Adding Total Rx Pricing Rule Using Two Variables

To add a total Rx variable pricing rule using a single variable, do the following:

  1. Select More > Pharmacy.
  2. Select the Var. Pricing tab.
  3. Select the Add button. A new row appears.
  4. Fill in the following fields for the pricing method:
    • Third Party: The Third Party the pricing should be applied to. If it applies to all third parties, select All.
    • Custom Class: The custom class the pricing should be applied to. If it applies to all custom classes, select All.
    • Apply To: The item to which the variable pricing will be applied to: the dispensing fee (Fee), the base drug cost (Cost), or the drug markup (Markup).
    • Check: The first variable the pricing method is based upon (Cost, Quantity, or Days Supply).
    • Min: The minimum value for the criteria specified in the Check field.
    • Max: The maximum value for the criteria specified in the Check field.
    • Check 2: The second variable the pricing method is based on (Cost, Quantity, or Days Supply).
    • Min 2: The minimum value for the variable specified in the Check 2 field.
    • Max 2: The maximum value for the variable specified in the Check 2 field.
    • Total Rx $: The total prescription price (i.e., $15.00 is the total prescription price for Oral Contraceptives when the days supply is 0 to 28 days).
  5. Select the Save button.
